What payment methods does ReserveTheNight accept?
ReserveTheNight uses Stripe for secure payment processing, which supports a wide range of payment cards.
Accepted payment methods
The following major credit and debit cards are accepted:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
Both credit cards and debit cards on these networks are supported at checkout.
Prepaid cards
Prepaid cards may not be accepted for hotel bookings. ReserveTheNight places an authorization hold on your card at the time of booking - this temporarily reserves the funds before the hotel confirms the reservation. Many prepaid cards do not support authorization holds, which can cause the payment to fail.
Currency
Charges are processed in USD. If your card is issued in a different currency, your bank will convert the amount at their current exchange rate and may apply a foreign transaction fee. ReserveTheNight does not add any currency conversion fees - any such fee comes from your card issuer.
Card security
Your card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form and are never stored on ReserveTheNight servers. ReserveTheNight staff cannot view your full card number. Stripe is certified to PCI DSS Level 1 - the highest level of payment security compliance.
