I booked as a guest - how do I access my booking?
Booking as a guest means you completed checkout without creating a ReserveTheNight account. Your booking is fully valid, and there are several ways to access and manage it.
Your confirmation email link
The simplest way to access your booking is through the secure link in your booking confirmation email. The email was sent to the address you provided at checkout and the link takes you directly to your booking details page, where you can view your reservation, check your cancellation policy, and cancel if needed.
This link is personal to you - it acts as your credential for this booking. Do not forward it to others, as anyone with the link can view and manage the booking. If your confirmation email was accidentally shared or forwarded to the wrong person, contact support at /contact so the link can be revoked and a new one issued to you.
Requesting a new link
If you no longer have the confirmation email, or the link has expired, you can request a fresh one:
- Go to /guest/bookings/recover.
- Enter your confirmation number (shown on screen after checkout) and the email address you used at checkout.
- A new secure link will be sent to that email address.
Linking your booking to an account
If you later create a ReserveTheNight account using the same email address as the booking, you can permanently link the booking to your account so it appears in My Bookings alongside any future reservations.
- Open your booking using the secure link.
- Sign in or create an account with the same email address used at checkout.
- On your booking page, click Claim into my account.
Once claimed, the booking appears in your account's My Bookings list and the original secure guest links are invalidated. Claiming does not change any booking details - only ownership for account visibility.
If you need to contact support
If you cannot access your booking through the steps above and need help from the support team, visit /contact. To verify your identity and locate the booking, please be ready to provide:
- The email address used at checkout
- The hotel name and approximate check-in date
- The names of all guests listed on the booking
ReserveTheNight stores the name of the primary guest and any additional adults entered at checkout, so providing these helps the support team confirm you are the booking holder and locate your reservation quickly.
