I didn't receive a password reset email
If you requested a password reset and the email has not arrived, there are several common reasons and straightforward fixes to try before contacting support.
Step 1 - Check your spam and junk folders
Password reset emails are sometimes filtered into spam, junk, or promotions folders. Open each of these folders and look for an email from ReserveTheNight. If you find it there, mark it as "not spam" so future emails arrive in your inbox.
Step 2 - Allow a few minutes
Password reset emails are sent immediately, but email delivery can occasionally be delayed by a few minutes. Allow up to 5 minutes before requesting a second reset link. Requesting multiple reset links in quick succession can cause confusion - only the most recently issued link will be valid.
Step 3 - Verify the email address you entered
The reset email is only sent to the exact email address on your account. If you entered a slightly different address (for example, with a typo), the email would not reach you.
Go to the forgot password page and make sure you enter the email address exactly as used when you registered. If you are unsure which address you used, try any alternative email addresses you have.
Step 4 - Check if your account uses Google Sign-In
If your account was created using Sign in with Google, there is no password associated with your account - Google manages authentication for you. Password reset does not apply to Google-linked accounts.
To access your account, use the "Sign in with Google" button on the login page. If that does not work, the issue may be with your Google account itself.
Step 5 - Reset links are single-use and expire
Password reset links can only be used once and expire after a short window. If you clicked a link but the page said it was expired or already used, return to the forgot password page and request a new one.
Still not receiving the email?
If you have waited 5 minutes, checked all folders, and confirmed your email address, contact ReserveTheNight support via the contact form. You do not need to be logged in to submit a support request. Include the email address you believe is on your account so the team can investigate.
