Can I have multiple accounts with the same email address?
Each email address on ReserveTheNight is tied to a single account. It is not possible to create two separate accounts using the same email address.
What happens if you try to register with an email already in use
If you try to create a new account with an email address that is already registered, the system will recognize the existing account and prompt you to sign in rather than create a new one.
Google sign-in and email/password accounts
One nuance to be aware of: if you previously signed in with Google using a particular email address, and you later try to create a separate email/password account using the same address, these are treated as the same account accessed via two different sign-in methods - not as two separate accounts.
However, the two sign-in methods are independent. If you see an error like "OAuthAccountNotLinked" when trying to sign in, it means the email is already registered via a different method (for example, email/password, not Google). Use the method that matches how the account was originally created.
To manage which sign-in methods are connected to your account, go to your Account Settings and look at the Sign-in Methods section.
If you believe there are duplicate accounts on your email address
In rare circumstances, a technical issue may result in unexpected account behaviour. If you believe you have somehow ended up with more than one account associated with your email address, contact ReserveTheNight support. Include your email address in the message so the team can investigate and resolve the issue.
