What does the ReserveTheNight service fee cover?
When you book a hotel through ReserveTheNight, you will see a ReserveTheNight service fee itemized separately from the hotel room rate on the checkout page and in your booking confirmation email.
What the service fee covers
The service fee supports the operation of the ReserveTheNight platform, including:
- Payment processing - the cost of securely handling card payments and authorizations through Stripe
- Platform infrastructure - keeping the search, booking, and account systems running
- Customer support - the team that handles booking queries, cancellation assistance, and billing inquiries
Where the fee is shown
The service fee is always itemized separately so you can see exactly what you are paying before confirming. It appears:
- On the order summary at checkout, before you enter payment details
- In your booking confirmation email
There are no hidden fees - the total shown on the order summary is the complete amount that will be charged.
Is the service fee refundable?
The ReserveTheNight service fee is non-refundable once a booking is placed. This applies even if you subsequently cancel the booking, fail to check in, or the hotel applies a cancellation charge. Any refund of the hotel room rate is subject to the cancellation policy of the rate you selected - but the service fee portion is not included in that refund.
